LODGING INFORMATION POLICIES AND PROCEEDURES
Cancellations: The cancellation policy will apply at the time your reservation is made. Cancellations must be made through the platform in which they were made. Guests may cancel their reservation up to 30 days prior to arrival without penalty. If cancelled with in the 29 days of arrival the policy is as follows:
- The property re-rents for the full amount – you will receive a full refund from Stay In Ohiopyle for your booking rental fees. Any other fees charged by the booking agent will be between you and the booking agent.
- The property does not re-rent for the full amount: For Booking.com guests cancellations within 30 days are charged the full amount.
For all other guests, cancellations within 14 days of arrival are charged the full amount, cancellations made between 15 and 29 days will forfeit 50% of the rent plus taxes and fees,
- Agent may cancel Agreement if Guest does not check-in within 24 hours of the arrival date and guest will forfeit all rental monies paid.
- No refunds will be issued for inclement weather, including rain or snow, early departure, canceled events or activities beyond Owner or Agent’s control.
Damage Deposit (VRBO guests only): Guests will be able to choose between a refundable Security Deposit or a non-refundable Damage Deposit fee of $59. This fee covers accidental damage, as determined by Stay In Ohiopyle, that may occur in the unit during your stay not to exceed $1,500.
Check-in: You may check-in any time after 3:00 p.m. There is a lockbox on the door. This will give you access to the key for the unit. (pull lever or button down and pull forward on the face of the box, the key is inside) The box is on the door and does not come off.
Non-smoking Property: No smoking of any kind including: cigarettes, vaping, and marijuana. If you have a medical marijuana card, this card does not give you any permission for smoking inside the unit. A minimum of $100 will be charged for additional cleaning and fumigation in the event that smoking or odor of smoking is found on the premises.
Housekeeping: Our housekeeping department’s goal is to provide you with the cleanest accommodation, and we will do everything to make sure your rental is ready for your stay. Please call our office immediately if the unit is not cleaned to your satisfaction upon check-in. Our house keeping department will correct the problem in a timely and professional manner. We cannot be held accountable for problems we are not aware of. Problems will not be addressed at check-out or after departure.
Maintenance issues: If a maintenance problem occurs during your stay or if you have questions when you arrive at your unit, notify the office immediately. Every attempt will be made to resolve the problem. No refunds or discounts will be given. Likewise, refunds or discounts will not be given for problems beyond our control such as public utilities, satellite signals, cable service, internet/Wi-Fi, hot tubs, septic tanks, appliances or heating & air conditioning, and due to acts of God.
Items included: Bed linens, towels, soap, shampoo, and paper products are included in your stay. There is also a fire pit, bike rack, and grill for your use. Should you like to have bike storage in our storage shed please let us know. Fees may be required.
Number of Occupants: You will see this upon making your reservation. The occupancy limit is 6 for units #1 and #4. The occupancy limit is 4 for units #2, #3, and #6. The occupancy limit is 2 for units #5 and #7. Over-occupancy is grounds for immediate removal of all guests and forfeiture of all rental monies.
Age requirement: You must be 21 years of age to rent a unit and must be present during the stay. Subletting (allowing other people or extra people not on the reservation to occupy your unit) is not permitted and all guests will be evicted.
Parking: There are two parking spots in the rear of the unit available for this unit. This parking area is accessible via Emergency Drive. There is one spot available for another unit. Additional public parking is available on Grant Street.
Road Conditions: Mountain roads can be tough at times. Winter road conditions are not guaranteed to be conveniently passable. You are responsible for transportation. Uber and Lyft are not a reliable source of transportation leaving Ohiopyle. We cannot provide any transportation for guests. Weather conditions can be very unpredictable and it is your responsibility to come prepared. We cannot refund for road conditions.
Lost Keys: Guests are responsible for any fees incurred for a lost key. Total for a lost key is $80. This includes new door knob replacement, new cut keys, and labor for said replacements.
Equipment: No guests are permitted to bring bikes, kayaks, or other outdoor equipment indoors for storage. There will be a minimum cleaning fee of $50 should it be necessary to clean mud and dirt from doing so.
Departure day: All good things must come to an end! All guests must vacate the property no later than 11 AM on the date of departure. NO EXCEPTIONS unless a late check out has been scheduled. You will be charged $50.00 if you are not out of the property at 11 AM. Guest agrees to perform the following chores prior to vacating the property:
- Clean all dishes and cookware.
- Empty all food from the refrigerator.
- Adjust the thermostat to a summer setting of 78 degrees or a winter setting of 55 degrees.
- Return key to the lockbox.
- It is very important to ensure all doors to the unit are locked.
LIABILITY WAIVER/HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT: I understand and agree that neither the property owner, nor Stay In Ohiopyle are liable for any “bodily injury or death” caused as a result of your stay at this rental property. I understand and agree that Stay In Ohiopyle will not be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items while you are staying with our company. However, if you or anyone in your party damages or removes property from the premises, you will be held responsible. Your signature on this form gives us permission to charge your credit card a minimum of $100 for such damage. Furthermore, by signing this form I understand and agree that I am the responsible party for this reservation and my credit card will be charged for any and all damage to the cabin. I understand that Stay In Ohiopyle reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason whatsoever.
LEGAL JURISDICTION:Any suit, action, or legal proceeding seeking to enforce any provision of, or based on any matter arising out of or in connection with this agreement must be brought in any federal or state court located in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. You are expressly consenting to and agreeing to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts, and you are irrevocably waiving, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any objection to the venue as inconvenient of any such suit, action, or legal proceeding in any such court. entering this agreement, you also are agreeing to and understand that this agreement shall be governed by and construed consistent with the substantive laws of the State of Pennsylvania.”
LOST & FOUND: WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ITEMS LEFT IN THE PROPERTY.
PETS: Pets are NOT allowed, there will be no exceptions. Any guest found with a pet will be evicted immediately and NO REFUND given and you will be charged a minimum of $250. If we find evidence after the fact that you had a pet with you, your credit card will also be charged a minimum of $250.00. Your signature on this form indicates your agreement to accept financial responsibility for all charges. “Evidence” is defined as but not limited to pet hair, carpet stains and other damages to carpet, furniture and woodwork which indicate the presence of an animal.
INSECTS: It is not uncommon to find bees, lady bugs, spiders, and other insects in and around the units, as they seek the warmth inside and you are very near to thousands of acres of wooded areas. Please understand you are in the mountains, and you may occasionally have “uninvited guests”. Refunds will not be given for visits from these “uninvited guests”.
DISCLAIMER: Stay In Ohiopyle makes every effort to ensure that all descriptions and representations from our staff, in our brochure, and on our internet site are accurate. However, we are not responsible for printing errors or changes made in the furnishings or amenities. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR EARLY DEPARTURES OR NO SHOWSIn order to confirm your reservation, the signed rental agreement must be returned to our office no later than 48 hours from time of booking. If booking is made inside of 48 hours prior to arrival the rental agreement must be on file prior to check in, as no access will be granted to the rental property without the signed rental agreement, no exceptions.

CANCELLATION POLICY:100% refund of amount paid if you cancel at least 30 days before check-in.
50% refund of amount paid, minus the service fee, if you cancel at least 15 days before check-in.
If you cancel less than 14 days before check-in, all monies paid are forfeited.
